The Government of Lesotho has received credit from the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank to implement the Lesotho Integrated Transport, Trade and Logistics (ITTL) Project. Component 2: Regional Trade, Integration and Logistics Services is being implemented through the CAFI PMU. Part of the proceeds will be used to procure consulting services for the Detailed Design and Construction Supervision of Inspection Facilities at the Maseru and Maputsoe border posts.
Scope of Services:
The consulting services include:
- Detailed design of two inspection facilities (IFs)
- Preparation of tender documents and support for contract administration
- Supervision of construction, including:
- Quality assurance of refurbishment and new works
- Implementation and compliance monitoring of Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs)
Phases of Assignment:
- Phase 1 & 2: Lump sum assignments (design and tender preparation)
- Phase 3: Time-based assignment (construction supervision)
Estimated Duration:
- Phases 1 & 2: Maximum of 4 months from contract signature
- Phase 3: Aligned with the construction period (anticipated to be 6 months)
Shortlisting Criteria:
- Core business and years in operation
- Relevant experience in similar assignments
- Technical and managerial capability of the firm
- Regional and/or local experience
Note:
- Consultants may associate with other firms (joint venture or subconsultancy).
- In a joint venture, all partners shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract.
