Department

You will be part of the Sub-Saharan Africa Middle East and South Asia Regions Order Handling and Execution department based at our manufacturing facility in Stormill. By joining this team, you will have the chance to work in a multinational organization and in an environment involving different cultures and different challenges.

Your responsibilities :

  • To provide day to day hands-on supervision at the Dispatch department.
  • To ensure that safety is kept at the highest standard and 5’s being maintained
  • To promote and role model the agreed Values of the organization
  • To arrange all packaging and transportation for the Dispatch department
  • To ensure that the Dispatch department complies and adheres to Companies Policies, Quality standards, safety standards and all Dispatch procedures and process flows.
  • To ensure that each individual team member meets their set KPI’s as set out on their PDR
  • Assist with day to day local logistical queries from internal customers
  • Ensure accurate tracking of international incoming stock and systems to be updated accordingly
  • Ensure that all team members undertake their duties in compliance with company policies and procedures always.
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Priorities work as items arrives at packaging department to ensure on time delivery.
  • Will be required to work overtime from time to time when required
  • To ensure that all work is being done in the set times stipulated.
  • Good Microsoft office skills for generating excel and word reports
  • To ensure that staff, systems and resources are used in the Workshop to meet departmental requirements and standards to provide excellent levels of productivity, quality and service consistently.
  • To work as part of the management team to ensure that cost effective and value-added solutions are in place to meet customer needs.
  • To ensure that a safe and healthy work environment exists by adhering to company health, safety and environmental policies, and ensure full compliance with relevant legislation.
  • To deliver all the requirements of Company policies those designed to improve People Performance and Engagement.
  • To control and allocate the flow of work through the Dispatch department to make the best use of staff, equipment and other resources.
  • To ensure that department equipment is maintained and there is sufficient tooling to meet business requirements.
  • To ensure that rework costs are kept to a minimum and take appropriate, hands-on corrective action where required including carrying out peer’s duties during their absence when required.
  • To ensure that pro-active planned maintenance is carried out on all electrical, air tools, forklifts and pallet Jacks to prevent problems occurring and keeping the monthly maintenance checklist up to date
  • To manage and ensure that all breakdowns are packaged, labelled and delivered to the customer as soon as possible
  • To manage and ensure that all normal delivery items received in the packaging area are packed, WFM actioned and documentation handed in for invoicing within 24 hours
  • To manage and ensure that all items will be labelled correctly as per job card, packed according to quality standards.
  • To ensure that system generated WMF messages is up to date at all times during the specific process at that moment.
  • To ensure that the Dispatch housekeeping and operating practices are of a high standard and that special tools and equipment are well maintained.
  • To ensure that each Dispatch toolbox is in good order and that there are no defective tools that could cause harm to team members
  • Weekly toolbox inspection to be done and signed off accordingly
  • All safety checklists to be done and signed off and handed in on specified days of the week
  • Continuously being pro-active in finding ways to reduce costs and streamline productivity
  • To advise Dispatch staff on tasks and sharing knowledge, for example through regular toolbox talks, one on one training and group training as per procedures, process flows and safety.

What you bring :

  • Logistics Diploma or higher qualification is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant Supervisor experience.
  • Project management certification will be an advantage.
  • Computer Literate (MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Packaging experience is essential
  • Focused to drive improvement and optimization in the business.
  • Working well within very dynamic business conditions.
  • Coping well with high pressure working environment.
