Overview
NTT DATA Services currently seeks an IT Support Engineer to join their team working onsite with a major client based in Greytown, South Africa. The Engineer is responsible for the technical support of hardware and software across the sites for all hardware and software Incidents and requests for end-user computing support (including desktops, laptops, mobile and printers) This role combines good level technical skills with an emphasis on the delivery of a high level of customer service.
Role Responsibilities
- To diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems and across a range of software applications.
- To assist all our users with any logged IT related incident when called upon.
- To take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary.
- To accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system.
- To install and configure new IT equipment.
- To resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware
- To resolve incidents with printers, copiers and scanners
Key Skills
- First class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.
- Break Fix IT Support, Desk Side Support and Install, Move, Add Change (IMAC)
- Good knowledge of Diagnosis tools and processes
- Windows 7/10 Operation and configuration knowledge
- Basic understanding of the purpose and operation of software distribution technologies (e.g. SCCM)
