2. OPEN INTERN POSITIONS
DATA WRANGLER INTERN
Job Description
The Data Wrangler Intern will assist the production team with the safe management, organisation and backup of recorded media during television production.
This is a critical technical role responsible for helping ensure that footage captured during production is properly handled and protected.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and manage camera media after recording.
- Transfer footage from memory cards to designated storage drives.
- Maintain organised folder structures and file naming systems.
- Create and verify backups of production footage.
- Keep accurate records of media and footage transferred.
- Monitor available storage capacity.
- Ensure memory cards are handled safely and correctly.
- Communicate media status to the production and camera teams.
- Assist with media management and archiving.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of production material.
Requirements
- Interest in post-production, digital media or technical production.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Good understanding of file management and digital storage.
- Familiarity with hard drives, memory cards and file transfers is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of video file formats is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Highly organised and methodical.
- Ability to follow strict data-management procedures.
- Understanding of basic backup principles is an advantage.
Important: Applicants for this position should understand that data security and accuracy are critical. A careless approach to production media is not acceptable.
