Job Summary
WHO Lesotho is looking for a passionate Data Management Officer to support the Ministry of Health in strengthening health information systems, improving data quality, supporting disease surveillance, and transforming data into actionable insights for better health outcomes.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- First university degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics/Data Science, Health Information Systems, Social Sciences, or a related field from an accredited/recognized institution.
- An advanced university degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics/Data Science, Health Information Systems, or a related field is desirable.
Experience:
- At least two (2) years of related experience in public health and/or managing health-related data.
- Experience working with a UN agency or public health programmes outside government is desirable.
- Experience handling outbreak-related data management or health systems data management is desirable.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of planning, coordinating, and implementing health programme interventions.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to engage in collaborative multi-sectoral partnerships with stakeholders and partners.
