Christian Health Association of Lesotho (CHAL)
The Christian Health Association of Lesotho (CHAL) is a network of church-owned health facilities comprising 8 hospitals, 71 health centres and 4 nursing training institutions across Lesotho. CHAL collaborates with the Government of Lesotho, development partners and other stakeholders to provide quality health services and strengthen the health system.
CHAL has entered into an agreement with EGPAF Lesotho to implement a new project under the Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD) through the United States Department of State. The project aims to strengthen health service delivery, optimise programme performance, build health facility capacity and improve health outcomes across CHAL-supported facilities.
The project will use a data-driven approach to strengthen service delivery, improve programme performance and promote accountability and efficient use of resources. CHAL therefore invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:
Data Clerk – 5 Positions
The Data Clerk will support the accurate, timely and complete collection, capturing, verification, management and reporting of programme data at CHAL-supported health facilities under the GHSD Project.
Key Responsibilities
The Data Clerk will:
- Collect, capture and verify programme data.
- Maintain accurate programme records and databases.
- Enter data into relevant systems.
- Conduct routine data quality checks.
- Make programme data available for monitoring, reporting and programme optimisation.
- Support achievement of agreed project targets and milestones.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Data Management, Information Technology, Statistics, Health Information Management, Records Management, Monitoring and Evaluation or a related field from a recognised institution.
- At least 1–2 years’ relevant experience in data capturing, health information management, records management or programme data.
- Experience with donor-funded health programmes, HIV programmes or other public health projects is an advantage.
- Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience using electronic databases or health information systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of data collection, verification and reporting processes.
