About the Organisation

Founded in Lesotho in 2015, Mosepele Foundation Development Forum (MFDF) is a local youth-led organisation with a presence in health facilities and communities across Lesotho and a membership of more than 5,000 young people.

MFDF actively engages young people as decision-makers and participants in the design, delivery, and monitoring of health and socio-economic services. Guided by the Lesotho National Youth Policy, the organisation represents Basotho youth on national platforms, including Lesotho Country Coordinating Mechanism (LCCM) meetings.

MFDF has successfully implemented a number of impactful projects, including:

  • PEPFAR Community-Led Monitoring
  • The Global Fund Her Voice Fund
  • Global Fund for Children’s Mental Health
  • Other youth-focused health and development initiatives

MFDF invites applications for the following positions:

Data Clerk (2 Positions)

Organisation: Mosepele Foundation Development Forum (MFDF)
Location: Thaba-Tseka and Mokhotlong Districts
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: M&E Officer (Dotted Line: Chief Program Officer)

Position Overview

The Data Clerk will support Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activities at facility and community levels. The role focuses on strengthening data management systems and ensuring the generation, utilization, and dissemination of accurate and timely information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register patients and record information in assigned registers
  • Prepare daily and monthly summaries
  • Compile HIV service data from registers, facilities, and community sources
  • Receive reports from communities and facilities within the catchment area
  • Aggregate key data elements and prepare performance reports
  • Maintain tracking charts for reporting status across departments
  • Support HIV information systems and provide detailed reports
  • Analyse data from various service points
  • Prepare and update graphs and charts for key health indicators
  • Prepare monthly ART cohort reports and present findings to facility management
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring activities
  • Disseminate information to facility staff and stakeholders
  • Provide feedback to departments, facilities, and communities
  • Train health workers on data collection and report writing
  • Participate in planning, monitoring, evaluation, and research activities
  • Maintain facility and community databases
  • Submit reports to supervisors
  • Perform any other assigned duties

Qualifications

  • Certificate or Diploma in Computing will be an added advantage

Experience and Skills

  • At least two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Good report-writing skills
  • Ability to produce reports on time
  • Knowledge of computer application packages

Requirements

Applicants must be willing to work in Thaba-Tseka and Mokhotlong for the duration of the project.
