DATA CLERK – KHUBETSOANA


Job Summary

Primarily responsible for entering paper‑based client records and information into relevant paper‑based and electronic databases on a daily basis.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect client visit records from service providers daily
  • Verify data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Accurately capture and enter client information into designated databases
  • Return processed client records to the filing unit after data entry
  • Reconcile database entries with the daily clinic register
  • Adhere to established Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) standards and data protocols
  • Perform administrative duties related to data management, including filing and retrieval
  • Provide data entry support at supported facilities as required
  • Support routine data analysis and reporting of program performance indicators
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of program objectives

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Demography, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent advanced diploma
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office; knowledge of electronic medical records is an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience in an HIV/AIDS clinic, including data tallying and report aggregation
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a health or clinic setting

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyse, and interpret safety rules, instructions, and procedures
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to present information clearly to team members
  • Fluency in English and Sesotho

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages
  • Ability to interpret bar graphs, line charts, and pie charts

Computer Skills

  • Excellent computer skills
  • Proficiency in MS Access, MS Office, MS Excel
  • Ability to maintain 95% data‑entry accuracy
