CBA is a non-governmental organization whose mandate is to assist the Lesotho Government on five thematic areas HIV and AIDS, Livelihoods, Economic Empowerment, Food Security and Humanitarian Relief.

With support from the Global Fund (GF) CBA is implementing TB/HIV , SRH Interventions in the following 8 districts Mafeteng, Mohale’sHoek, Quthing, Qacha’sNek, Thaba-Tseka, Mokhotlong, Butha-Buthe and Berea with the focus on Key Populations ( Female Sex workers, MSM and IDUs) .  

Applications are invited from the suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions based at Maseru:

DATA CLERK

The Data Clerk will be responsible for capturing completed data, and will ensure accuracy and completeness of the records captured, working in line with the data quality, integrity, safety and security requirements. The incumbent will also be responsible for implementing daily data management activities including proper filing, data back up and safe keeping of data sets.

  • The Data Entry Clerk will have the following duties and responsibilities: 
  • Create files and folders for capturing the data. 
  • Capture completed questionnaires using provided data entry template on daily basis. 
  • Compare data entered with source documents to ensure accuracy and to detect errors.
  • Delete incorrectly entered data, and re-enters correct data.
  • Ensure that data captured is saved in the accurate file and folder.
  • Submit digitized data sets to the Survey Coordinator on daily basis. 
  • Maintain data sets back up on daily basis. 
  • Maintain and keep a record of the work completed on daily basis.
  • Oversee the safe keeping and proper filing of the captured survey questionnaires. 
  • Comply with the data quality, integrity, safety and security procedures. 

Qualifications and Skills Requirement:

  • Must have completed COSC/LGCSE, or similar high school qualifications. A candidate who holds a university diploma or degree qualification in relevant social science disciplines, and/or a candidate who has prior training in data management and/or research methodologies will have an added advantage.  
  • Proven experience working as a data entry clerk or in a similar role.
  • Must have basic computer literacy for entering data into databases. 
  • Must have solid Ms. Excel skills. 
  • Must be available to attend the survey training at specified times.  
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be willing to work with key populations networks and groups. Individuals who meet the above requirements and are part of the key population’s community will have an added advantage.
