SmartStart was established in 2015 with the aim of rapidly expanding access to quality, affordable early learning opportunities for young children in South Africa.SmartStart’s vision is to give every child the power to succeed. This means ensuring that all South Africa’s children can benefit from early learning opportunities. To help this vision become reality, by 2025 they aim to reach one million three and four year-olds each year through the SmartStart programme.
SmartStart Early Learning NPC seeks to appoint a Data Capturer to be based in Johannesburg.
Responsibilities:
Maintain our database by entering new and updated information
Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information
Process source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies
Resolve deficiencies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents for resolution
Verify entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting or re-entering data
Scan documents such as forms and photographs and ensure that they are associated with other pertinent data within the system
Test system changes and upgrades by inputting new data
Secure information by completing database backups
Identify, label and organise electronic storage media and ensure that both security and confidentiality is maintained on a constant basis
Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes
Assist with quarterly reporting
Make phone calls to verify data
Handle enquiries
Attend meetings
Requirements:
Post-matric qualification
Basic computer skills (MS Word and Excel)
Desirable personal attributes and skills:
