Position Summary:

Working under the supervision of the MER Officer: The Data Capturer will provide efficient data entry and analytical support in all aspects of the Strategic Information. This initiative is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), as part of the Lesotho Local Partner Technical Assistance program project managed by FHI360 Capacity Development and Support (CDS) program.

Core Roles and Responsibilities:

The Data Capturer shall from time to time:

  • Ensure accurate daily data capturing and compilation from designated project components i.e. FCI and OD
  • Capture weekly and monthly data on summary sheets respectively
  • Ensure that all project outputs are captured in the database as per Standard Operating Procedures
  • Print standard reports as and when requested by the MER Officer
  • Validate the quality of data captured by performing systems verification
  • Verify the integrity of data provided by sub awardees by comparing with previously submitted records
  • Perform data quality assurance and control measures and timely submission of report
  • Implement effective and secure procedures for data handling and analysis
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the MER Officer.

Qualification Summary and Experience/ Skills required:

  • At least a Diploma in Social Sciences and Data Informatics
  • Experience with data collection, capturing and analysis within the public health sector will be advantageous
  • Good understanding of data management systems
  • Good knowledge of HIV program data and information management
  • Training in data management will be an added advantage
  • High degree of proficiency in written and spoken English communication, including presentation and training skills.
  • Ability to manage work independently, set realistic priorities, and plan for the successful implementation of activities
  • Ability to pay attention to detail, good time management and monitoring skills
  • High level communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills and willingness to undertake additional responsibilities as necessary, and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Well-developed computer skills.
  • Capacity to and willingness to work with the Community of Faith structures and Civil Society Organizations

Travel – 40% of travel time in Lesotho
