Title: Data and Information Coordinator

Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt Hourly

Effective Date: October 15, 2019

Immediate Supervisor: Professional Development Content Manager

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of GKI’s Professional Development Content Manager, responsible for planning and administrating all required data management, intranet, and web-based platforms. Responsibilities will include: development and maintenance of data tracking and analysis systems, report development, and coordination of communication systems, both internal and external. Additional duties as assigned include general operation and business functions of Great Kids.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procedures for effective data management of software, intranet, and web-based applications.
  • Resolve performance issues and complete maintenance for intranet and web-based services.
  • Manage system resources for intranet and web-based sites.
  • Provide both internal and external support to individuals for access and effective use of intranet, web-based platforms.
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate information and data systems that could affect analytical results.
  • Ongoing development of data management strategies.
  • Make recommendations for software, hardware, and data storage upgrades.
  • Support GKI with E-Commerce needs for ordering materials and enrollment of participants on web-based platforms.
  • Prepare and provide to GKI Directors data reports, as requested.
  • Prepares written processes related to data collection and data management.
  • Collects data by identifying sources of information; designing survey and collection methods.
  • Organizes information by studying, analyzing, interpreting, and classifying data.
  • Resolves trend analysis problems by altering data tracking to meet requirements.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information from various data sources.
  • Maintains various databases by entering data as necessary.
  • Work with various vendors to build and maintain databases
  • Work with various vendors to develop and maintain communication systems.
  • Plan, edit, design, layout, and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as a Great Kids Dashboard (intranet)
  • Administration of the Great Kids Dashboard (Intranet)
  • Administration of GKI’s social media accounts
  • Administer the GK Academy and communications therein
  • Maintains data integrity and security for all data management systems

Additional Duties:

  • Maintains current knowledge of the field and skills related to areas of responsibility.
  • Attends and participates in all GKI staff team meetings.
  • Some additional hours of work may be required to meet project demands or tasks assigned.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.
  • Maintains professional documentation in electronic files, per GKI procedural guidelines, for all areas of responsibility.
  • Some “after hours” work required to meet project demands or tasks assigned.
  • Able to travel internationally, as required to meet job requirements. Possesses all required travel documents.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, learning management systems, customer relations management systems, and able to quickly learn new software systems as needed.
  • Experience in data management, data protection, collecting data, managing resources, evaluating and drafting reports, dealing with queries, and data entry.
  • Strong competencies in computer information systems, customer relations, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong expertise in data, project, and time management.
  • Orientation towards quality and results.

Working Conditions:

Generally, good working conditions with little or no exposure to extremes in noise, temperature, or health hazards.

Moderate physical effort related to office work, conducting presentations, and travel with standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and occasional lifting and carrying of job-related materials.

Salary: $45,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year
