Data Science / Data Analyst Intern Opportunity
Introduction
Lesotho Flour Mills is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality wheat flour, maize meal, animal feeds and sugar packaging. We are currently seeking for a dynamic, data science or data analyst IT Intern to join our IT Team for a one-year internship.
The Applicate will be required to present a PowerBI report and PowerApps he/she has developed as part of the interview process.
Key Performance Areas/Expected Outputs
The successful incumbent will have the opportunity to be exposed to the following:
- Data Analysis and Microsoft PowerBI reporting.
- Development of Microsoft PowerBI reports and publishing thereof on mobile phone platforms.
- Development and implementation of Microsoft PowerApps both as desktop and mobile phone applications.
- Basic computer hardware and network maintenance.
- OƯice365 applications training roll-out to users.
- Basic Navision ERP system support.
- Support of WhatsApp Business applications.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, or an equivalent qualification.
- Microsoft Office 365 exposure.
- Exposure to SQL or relevant data platforms.
- Any relevant Microsoft accreditations.
- A driver’s licence B will be beneficial.
Key Competences
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Exposure to data science and analytics.
- Exposure to the development of mobile device applications using Microsoft Power BI
- Exposure to the development of mobile device applications using Microsoft Power Apps.
- Basic computer hardware and network maintenance skills will be an added advantage.
