VACANCY: DATA ANALYST INTERN
Data Analyst Intern – 6-Month Internship – Potential Full-Time Opportunity
Department: Technology and Operations
Reports to: Head of Development
ROLE PURPOSE
Support data quality checks, reporting, and analysis to improve the reliability of company information and help teams make informed decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review customer, transaction, and operational data for errors, duplicates, and missing information.
- Compare records across systems and reports to identify discrepancies.
- Investigate data issues and maintain a register of findings and corrective actions.
- Assist with data cleansing and validate approved corrections.
- Prepare routine reports and dashboards.
- Analyze trends, exceptions, and operational performance.
- Document data definitions, validation rules, and reporting procedures.
- Handle company and customer information confidentially.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- BSc Information Systems, BSc Computer Science or a related field.
- Good Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
- SQL knowledge is a requirement.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to explain findings clearly.
- Exposure to Power BI or similar reporting tools is an advantage.
DURATION
Six months, with the possibility of a full-time employment contract upon successful completion, subject to satisfactory performance and the availability of a suitable position.
EXPERIENCE
No prior professional experience required; relevant academic projects or internships are an advantage.
