MAMAS Alliance is a network of independent, autonomous grassroot Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) whose core business is caring for vulnerable and disadvantaged children, youth and their families. Currently, the network includes 36 NGOs operating in 75 sites across the country, predominantly in remote, rural, semi-rural and township areas.MAMAS Alliance CSI agency is one of a kind, as it aims to simplify CSI by facilitating and supporting the partnership between funder and NGO. The Agency works at no cost. All funds flow directly from the CSI-funder to the benefitting NGO. The CSI agency assists business to get maximum benefits of their CSI spend and enables NGOs to create more impact by reaching more children in need.
MAMAS Alliance seeks to appoint a CSI Consultant based in Rivonia Johannesburg.
They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, goal driven and able to meet targets with experience in sales and fundraising. The desired candidate will join the CSI team. He/She will be responsible for identifying new business leads, building relationships with corporate funders, managing relationships with clients and be in constant communication with NGOs.
Roles and Responsibilities
Proactively building new corporate client relationships.
Research and identify corporates, foundations and trusts that can be targeted as part of the fundraising strategy
Organise and attend meetings with potential donors
Proactively build new corporate relationships and maintain existing clients
Develop new marketing and sales ideas (together with the team)
Manage information on CRM
Write proposals and facilitate all grant applications to donors on behalf of NGOs
Write reports for donors and management
Constant communication and relationship management with NGOs within the alliance
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication or social sciences
At least 3 years’ experience in sales or fundraising with a proven track record
Excellent communication (verbal, presentations and writing)
Ability to build and maintain relationships
Ability to communicate effectively, both with donors and NGOs
Excellent time management and ability to work under tight deadlines
Ability to work independently and with a team
Flexible and willing to travel locally
Passionate about development
