CREDIT & OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
MacFin Micro Finance (Pty) Ltd is looking for a reliable, experienced, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Credit & Operations Assistant.
MacFin Micro Finance is a financial services company focused on responsible lending, strong risk management, operational efficiency, and improving access to financial solutions.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations, ensuring that lending processes, internal systems, and customer interactions run efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Credit & Lending Operations
- Assist with loan application reviews and processing.
- Support credit assessment and risk control processes.
- Review customer information and supporting documentation.
- Assist with customer verification and contract processes.
- Monitor loan performance and repayment activities.
- Maintain accurate and confidential credit records.
- Support responsible lending decisions through proper analysis and controls.
Operations & Administration
- Manage daily operational activities and follow-ups.
- Maintain organised records, reports and internal documentation.
- Coordinate workflows and ensure operational tasks are completed.
- Prepare operational reports and provide insights to management.
- Identify process improvements and support the implementation of better systems.
- Assist with maintaining operational standards and procedures.
Customer & Partner Support
- Assist customers throughout the lending process.
- Handle customer enquiries professionally and confidentially.
- Support relationship management with customers and partners.
- Ensure customers receive accurate information and guidance.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in microfinance, lending, financial services, or a related industry.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritise tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership.
- A professional attitude and willingness to learn.
