Credit Control Team Member
Job Summary
The Credit Control Team Member is responsible for ensuring accurate premium administration, timely premium collection, effective account reconciliation, and maintaining healthy debtor books. The role supports operational efficiency by ensuring that all premium‑related transactions, including allocations, are processed correctly and that both internal and external stakeholders receive professional, timely service.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform monthly account reconciliations for brokers and direct clients
• Investigate and resolve premium discrepancies and unallocated funds
• Support internal and external audits through accurate and well‑organised record‑keeping
• Monitor outstanding premiums and follow up on overdue accounts
• Engage with brokers, clients, and internal teams to resolve premium‑related queries
• Prepare ageing analysis and debtor reports for management review
• Implement credit control procedures to reduce arrears and improve collection ratios
• Ensure all policy adjustments, cancellations, and endorsements are reconciled to payments and policies
• Support risk‑management initiatives related to credit and premium administration
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field
• Minimum 2–3 years’ combined experience in underwriting and/or policy administration, credit control, or a similar financial role
(Short‑term insurance sector experience is an added advantage)
• Strong understanding of financial reconciliations and debtor management
• Experience working with insurance systems and accounting software is beneficial
