The Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) has provided grants of up to US$3.8 Billion to the Basotho. This is a special donation to help the Private Sector, SMEs, and Individuals in Lesotho recover from the economic impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. The fund will be transferred directly to qualified applicants.
The main objectives of this economic package are:
1. Strengthening our economic recovery process.
2. Expanding economic opportunities by exploring continental and global markets.
3. Promote the growth of locally produced goods and services.
4. Expand access to information, communications and technology.
