Job Summary
AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Country Program Manager to lead, develop, and manage all aspects of AHF’s programs in Lesotho. The successful candidate will be a key member of the AHF Africa Bureau leadership team, ensuring that AHF’s vision, mission, core values, and key partnership standards drive program strategies and implementation.
The Country Program Manager will advocate for policy changes by engaging government bodies, parliament, and stakeholders, building coalitions, and empowering clients to actively participate in advocacy initiatives. This role includes supervisory oversight of key staff members, including the Medical Director, Operations Officer, Prevention Program Coordinator, Finance Officer, and other roles as per the organogram.


Key Responsibilities:
•Provide strategic leadership and direction for AHF’s program in the country.
• Ensure adherence to AHF’s vision, mission, and management philosophy.
• Advocate for policy changes by collaborating with government entities and stakeholders. Supervise program staff and ensure effective performance management.
• Oversee financial and resource management, ensuring accountability and transparency.
• Drive strategic growth and expansion of AHF’s programs in the country.
• Strengthen strategic partnerships and ensure effective advocacy and marketing efforts.
· Lead program planning, collaboration, and reporting in alignment with AHF’s goals.

Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant Degree
Minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience, with no less than 10 years in a managerial position. Strong experience with public health/ international development programs, advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of HIV/AIDS programs and related health issues, experience HIV/AIDS programming in Africa, preferably with major donor-funded programs would be an added advantage
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in diverse settings.
• Ability and willing to travel to operational sites. A valid passport is required.
