Roll out Woolworths Africa strategy & plan in Lesotho by leading and managing the existing stores (Fashion, Beauty and Home Merchandise + Foods) within Lesotho and by setting up the required end to end operations for stores.
Reporting to the District Manager: Southern Africa you will –
▪ Provide input into the strategy and operating plans.
▪ Coach and develop management by building deep retail knowledge and competence.
▪ Build relationships, influence and integrate with key stakeholders internally & externally
▪ Drive country scorecards and targets.
▪ Maximize selling opportunities and implement new initiatives. Facilitate development and implementation of marketing plans.
▪ Constantly seek opportunities in stores to increase sales and maximize returns on space and stock.
▪ Drive brand standards to protect the brand values, and deliver effective service levels.
▪ Ensure all operating processes are effectively implemented.
In order to be considered you –
▪ Must be a Mosotho National
▪ Have a relevant Business Degree
▪ Must have at least 5 years’ experience of managing a Retail or Commercial Operation as a General Manager
▪ Must have at least 8 to 10 years Retail Industry knowledge & experience in Fashion, Beauty, Home, Foods and FMCG
▪ Need to have detailed understanding of the following in the Foods and FBH industry –
Retail selling processes in both FBH and Foods
Retail sales management & visual merchandising
Retail supply chain
Retail merchant skills
Retail store operations
Stakeholder engagement
Woolworths customers, products and services.
▪ Must have proven leadership and management experience
Driving a performance motivated culture and development of people
Ability to coach and develop
Demonstrates a commitment to High Performance – delivery and goal driven, flexible and thrives on and responds to performance feedback
Role models the Woolworths values – quality and style, value, service, innovation, integrity, energy and sustainability
