Applications are invited from suitably qualified local candidates for the following vacant positions tenable at the Youth Anti- Depression Initiative (YADI).
YADI is a non-profit making organization aimed at giving hope and injecting a positive mindset to today’s youth so as to curb depression amongst them. Its main objectives are to make youth aware that in our daily lives, depression is embedded but there is a way to overcome it. That is, we fight against depression and apply effective practical ways to prevent suicidal thoughts through campaigns and counseling.
Job Title: Counsellors (3)
Duties and responsibilities
-Attend employer’s clients on counselling sessions
-Record progress file for a client
-Give report of progress for every client attendance in every two weeks
-Maintain confidentiality of records of clients treatment
-Guide clients in the development of skills or strategies for dealing with their problems
-Collect information about clients through interviews, observations or tests.
-Plan, organize or lead structure
Job Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Care and Counselling
-Attending and active listening
-A non-judgmental approach
