1. The Government of Lesotho has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Agricultural Productivity Programme for Southern Africa and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Rehabilitation of the existing structure (offices) into guest rooms.
2. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders in Category A or B (Ministry of Public Works Contractors Category) for Conversion of existing structures (offices) into guest rooms at Department of Agricultural Research current offices in Maseru for a period of 12 months.
3. Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” March 2021 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. Bidders should be registered with the Ministry of Public Works in Category A or B.
4. 5. The bidding document in English Language may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of One Thousand Five Hundred Maloti (LSL1,500.00). The method of payment will be Bank transfer to this bank account detailed below and shall be collected from the address shown in 4 above or can be send by email. 6. Bids must be delivered in sealed envelopes addressed to the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition to the address below on or before 27th April 2023. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 27th April 2023 at 14:30hrs.
7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Maloti (LSL150,000.00). 8. All Bids must be accompanied by a Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and/or Sexual Harassment (SH) Declaration.
9. There will be a compulsory site visit at the Department of Agricultural Research, Lesotho Agricultural College, Moshoeshoe II, Maseru at 09:00am on Thursday 6th April 2023.
