Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) is a USA based Organization with public health programs around the World. It creates a future of hope for children and families worldwide by eradicating pediatric HIV and AIDS, providing care and treatment for people with HIV and AIDS, and accelerating the discovery of new treatments for other serious and life- threatening pediatric illnesses. EGPAF`s work is funded through private donations, PEPFAR via the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Centres for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), Johnson & Johnson (J&J), Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) etc.

POSITION TITLE: Contracts and Grants Officer

Job Summary

  • Prepares sub-awards and amendments, ensuring compliance with Signature Authority Policy.
  • Manages daily contracts and grants operations, develops training materials, and oversees information management systems.
  • Monitors sub-grantee budgets, assesses financial reports, and ensures compliance with donor regulations and organizational policies. Also, supports sub-grant closeout and ongoing assistance to sub-grantees.
  • Assist sub-staff in understanding and adhering to policies, rules, and regulations, providing training as needed.
  • Stay informed about donor policies and local legal requirements, ensuring compliance with registration, taxes, and labor laws.
  • Conduct bi-annual risk-based compliance assessments, develop monitoring plans for sub-recipients, and assist in identifying and resolving compliance vulnerabilities. Perform site visits, document findings, and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Document evidence in the Grant and Procurement System (GPS) and assess the functioning of sub systems, controls, and procedures.
  • Make recommendations to address compliance and capacity gaps, supporting pre- and post-audit processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Relevant field (Business Administration, BCom. Accounting, GA or related)

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years work experience in Grants Management, Contract Management, Finance, and Accounting
  • Experience in managing USG Funding, managing other international donor funds and working international non-profit/non-governmental organisations.
