Job Purpose:
To ensure contract compliance of the project stakeholders.
Operating Environment:
The Contract Management Expert is expected to be in-country (in Lesotho) for the entire duration of the project implementation.
Communication & Working Relationships:
The Contract Management Expert is expected to have great communication skills to speak effectively with the Client, and Contractors, and report to the Team Leader and the Head Office.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must hold a foundation degree in Civil Engineering; or Electrical Engineering; or Mechanical Engineering
- A Master‘s degree with a specialization in Water Supply Engineering; Environmental Engineering; or equivalent relevant qualification will be an added advantage
- Post-graduate Diploma in Procurement; or Program; or Contracts Management
- Good command of written and spoken English
General Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience required
- Minimum 5 years of international experience
- Minimum of 5 years required of experience with the program management of complex construction projects including scheduling, budgeting and risk management, and the number of such projects/programs. Provide details of 5 similar projects.
Specific Professional Experience:
- Experience as Deputy Team Leader on Internationally Funded technical assistance projects (minimum 1 project)
- Experience in setting up and implementing program management tools (minimum 1 project)
- Experience in the sub-Saharan Africa water sector
- Excellent Communicator
