Consumer Business Development

What you can expect
The primary purpose of this role is to do business development for the Consumer market in South Africa, with a focus on the Footwear industry. Duties will include the following:

Map the market potential and develop a route to market strategy.

Leverage relationships with industry bodies and government departments for promoting PM’s product and service offering.

Manage customer portfolio, commercial and technical negotiations, tender participation.

Ensure continued pursuit of market intelligence and research for identifying market trends and competitor activities in the South African market.

Identify and implement improvements on business processes.

Assume full responsibility for all business aspects of assigned responsibility.

Developing of business plans and execution strategies for targeted opportunities .

Developing and managing a pipeline of projects identified for future sales.

Accurate and on-time reporting (e.g., monthly report, visit reports, forecasts, market data, opportunity pipeline, etc.)

Demonstrate the ability to identify new business opportunities for business growth

What we expect

Tertiary qualification in Sales & Marketing

At least 5 years- experience in the retail sector

Understanding of the footwear and textile industry

Strong communication skills in English

Driver’s Licence (Obligatory) and own Transportation

MS Office and MS PowerPoint
