Job Title: CONSULTATION FACILITATOR

PURPOSE OF POSITION
Lima-Thaha JV is providing resettlement planning and implementation services on Phase II of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project in Mokhotlong District. We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of Consultation Facilitator to assist with the implementation of our stakeholder engagement programme. You will be required to work a significant portion of the day outdoors, sometimes under extreme conditions, doing physical work such as strenuous walking and modest lifting.
DUTIES
- The Consultation Facilitator supports the resettlement planning and implementation teams through skillful stakeholder engagement techniques, gauging stakeholder support for planned activities, facilitating discussions and engagements and documenting the proceedings.
- Implement the Stakeholder Engagement Plan as approved by the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority.
- Engage with affected households, communities and local authorities through established consultation structures.
- Record-keeping of all engagements, including audio-visual recordings, attendance registers and meeting minutes.
- Support client-driven community engagements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A relevant qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Must be fluent in Sesotho and sufficiently proficient in English to communicate within the team.
- A minimum of 3 years proven experience in conducting public consultations in rural areas of Lesotho, and experience on a resettlement project will be an added advantage.
- Must be a good communicator and willing to engage directly with communities and individual households.
- Must be able to work in a team of professionals.
- Must possess advanced computer skills with knowledge of Windows 10 and standard Office applications.
- A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage.
