Assignment Title: Water and Sanitation Engineer

The Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Lesotho Lowlands Water Development and Sanitation Project – Phase III (LLWDSP III) and intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments under the contract for the recruitment of a Water and Sanitation Engineer.
Project Overview
The Project aims to improve water supply and sanitation services in Zone 1 of the Lesotho Lowlands Water Supply Scheme in Botha-Bothe District through the development of climate-resilient water supply infrastructure, sanitation facilities, institutional strengthening and project management.
Scope of Services
The services include supporting the Project Implementation Unit in:
- Planning;
- Design review;
- Procurement support;
- Construction supervision; and
- Contract management of water supply and sanitation infrastructure, including bulk water systems, distribution networks, sanitation facilities and faecal sludge management infrastructure.
The duration of the assignment is Thirty-Six Months.
Expression of Interest
The Lesotho Lowlands Water Development and Sanitation Project Phase III now invites eligible candidates to indicate their interest in providing these services.
Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services, including:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV);
- Description of similar assignments; and
- Experience in similar conditions.
Selection Method
Eligibility, establishment of the shortlist and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations (October 2015), which is available on the Bank’s website.
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultant (IC) method set out in the Procurement Framework.

Submission Requirements
Expressions of Interest must be accompanied by:
- A detailed Curriculum Vitae;
- Certified copies of academic qualifications;
- Evidence of professional registration, where applicable; and
- Three verifiable references.
