Job Overview
We are seeking a Consultant to join Space Practice. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with experience in the management consulting field, working experience in the space and development industry or an educational background in a space-related field would be advantageous.
At least 3 years professional experience is required for this role, and the candidate will play a pivotal role in business development, client management as well as in the development and implementation of strategic documents.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at a first of its kind Innovation Consultancy, with a dynamic and diverse team, and develop innovative solutions that contribute to shaping of the space ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: lead and support the delivery of projects, including research, data analysis, and preparation of high-quality reports, presentations, and other outputs for clients.
- Client Engagement: Manage client relationships on the ground – this may include attending in-person meetings.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with clients, partners, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance.
- Business Development: Assist in identifying opportunities for new projects, preparing proposals, and developing client relationships.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Space Science, Business, Economics, Policy Studies, Climate Change or similar fields).
- Experience: 3 – 5 years professional experience in a consulting, research, or project management, or similar role, preferably within the space industry or a related technical field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with GIS, programming, or data visualization tools are advantageous.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, self-starter/motivated, and team collaboration.

Job Specifications
- Remuneration: R34 038 – R41 624 (gross, per month)
- Type: 6-month contract
- Location: Hybrid work environment with opportunities to work from home
- Availability: Available to start immediately (2 June 2025) or within a short notice period (1 – 2 weeks)
