Role Summary
The consultant will support the Namene Climate Team in the continued implementation and delivery of solar lights carbon projects in Lesotho. They will be responsible for implementing and supervising the after-sales care and customer support in Lesotho, including ensuring that lights repairs and warranty claims are completed in time.
Specific activities include;
- Implementation and monitoring of systems and processes to ensure continued project effectiveness and efficiency
- Implementation and monitoring of reporting tools
- Data collection
- Site visits
- Collaboration with partners to ensure project compliance
- Capacity building of project staff
- Technical support
Person Specification
- Previous experience in a similar field based project role in Lesotho
- Excellent communication skills in English and Sesotho
- Capacity to coordinate and communicate well with project partners, defining clear goals, targets and tasks.
- Problem solver and highly adaptive to the local context and project circumstances.
- Data quality control and quality assurance for monitoring.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Suite, particularly in Excel and the use of databases.
- Great initiative and capacity to work independently and with limited supervision.
Experience in renewable energy projects is desirable but not essential.
