WHO Lesotho, in collaboration with the Lesotho Ministry of Health and the Global Fund, is urgently seeking to fill an existing consultancy position.
Background
The Ministry of Health (MoH) of the Kingdom of Lesotho is seeking a suitably qualified individual to provide Long‑Term Local Technical Assistance (TA) to the Directorate of Health Planning and Statistics.
The Technical Assistance will support:
• The revitalization and institutionalization of the Health Sector‑Wide Resource Mapping and Expenditure Tracking (RMET) process
• The development of a National Health Financing Policy and Strategic Plan
Duration
9 months
Period: April – December 2026
Key Requirements
• Lesotho national
• Master’s degree in Health Economics or equivalent
• Experience in public sector financial management
• Experience with RMET, National Health Accounts (NHA), or public expenditure tracking
• Strong knowledge of the Lesotho health system landscape
