RSL is searching for experienced, passionate, energetic, and resilient Lesotho citizens to occupy the positions listed below. These temporary assignments (6 months duration) offer excellent career opportunities for candidates who can make a difference through remarkable leadership and contribution to revenue services in Lesotho.


Consultant – Classification, Tariff and Valuation (2 Posts)

Purpose:
Provide customs technical advisory services through effective and efficient implementation of tariff, classification, and valuation processes aimed at enhancing trade facilitation and ensuring compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and disseminate relevant information to customs-related functions to promote risk awareness relating to undervaluation, misclassification, and tariff uniformity
  • Compile statistics for reporting on trends in classification, tariff, and valuation practices
  • Undertake analysis on suspected products and recommend further scientific testing

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Law, or International Trade-related field
  • Experience in Tariff Classification, Customs Valuation, and Trade Agreements
  • Ability to apply statistical methods to analyze and interpret data
