The Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho has received financing from the World Bank towards the implementation of the Lesotho Renewable Energy and Energy Access Project (LREEAP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services for Development of an Abbreviated Resettlement Action Plan (ARAP) for Electrification of households at Belo Industrial Area in the Butha-Buthe District. The Lesotho Electricity Company (Pty) Ltd is implementing Component 1 of LREEAP namely Grid Extension to Industrial Economic Zones.
The Lesotho Electricity Company (Pty) Ltd now invites eligible individual consultants (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in developing an ARAP for the Electrification of five (5) villages around the Belo Industrial Area namely Ha-Majara, Liqalaneng, Community, Morifi and Marallaneng. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are as follows: relevant experience; qualifications; and capability to carry out the assignment based on the full terms of reference which can be obtained upon request at the address shown below.
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 updated November 2020 (Fourth Edition) (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultant Selection method set out in the Procurement Regulations.
