We are looking for a short term consultant who will accompany our principal consultant in reviewing and completing the final stage of the organisation-wide Job Grading review. The role of the consultant is to act as a “referee’’ to the Job Grading Appeals process which will take place in October 2020.

The consultant will be responsible to:

  1. Accompany the principal consultants in the review of appeals raised by staff on the outcomes of the Job Grading exercise
  2. Apply their knowledge of global civil society (non-profits) to reinforce values of inclusion, collaboration and equity to the outcomes of the given appeals
  3. Support the review of concerns that may have been raised around the overall principles and assumptions of the Job Grading system
  4. Contribute to lessons and directions that CIVICUS can take note of for future standardization processes

We anticipate an engagement of seven workdays across October and November 2020. This will be finalised in keeping with the schedule of work agreed with the principal consultant.

The work will largely be carried out in collaboration with the principal consultant and schedules for the completion of tasks will need to be agreed together. A joint report of recommendations to the appeals received as well as the wider process is expected.

How to apply

Applicants are required to submit a resume and a letter of interest that demonstrates their suitability to carry out the assignment. This should include evidence of suitable qualifications and track record of developing strategies and systems in the international non-profit sector.

Applications should be sent to: [email protected] by 10 October 2020.
