We are seeking a consultant based in South Africa to work with our funded partners to:
- Identify strengths and gaps in the individual organisation’s safeguarding approach
- Develop an action plan that builds on existing good practice whilst addressing any areas of concern
- Provide mentoring, advice and training to implement the action plan and ensure a comprehensive approach to safeguarding across their operationIn addition to the work with individual organisations, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to efforts to contextualise safeguarding approaches and build capacity within South Africa. The consultant will be expected to compile insights and learning from their work and share these with Comic Relief and other stakeholders.

Applicants are invited to submit concise proposals to Karen Walker-Simpson, Head of Safeguarding ([email protected]) by Monday 27th May. The proposal should not exceed 10 pages and must include:
- A summary of your approach, areas of expertise and relevant past work
- Proposed methodology for assessing and supporting individual organisations
- Budget: We expect support to be tailored to the needs of each individual organisation and so costs may vary. The budget should outline the cost of all key activities, including the daily rate for consultancy support. Consultants will invoice and be paid for work completed.
