Consultancy to Implement Capacity Strengthening Activities for National Feminist Forums (NFFs)
Background
The African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) is a pan-African feminist grantmaking organization that supports local, national, and regional women’s rights organizations committed to the empowerment of African women and the promotion of gender equality.
Under its strategic framework, LemLem (2023–2033), AWDF emphasizes resourcing and accompanying feminist movements to build their resilience and agility. As part of this commitment, AWDF seeks to strengthen the capacity of National Feminist Forums (NFFs).
In 2024, AWDF conducted a mapping of eight NFFs in Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, DRC, South Africa, Liberia, and Kenya. The mapping identified critical challenges, opportunities, and context-specific needs across these forums, laying the groundwork for tailored capacity-building initiatives.
