The Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR) is a non-governmental organisation which envisions societies that are peaceful, equal and free from violence. CSVR aims to understand and prevent violence, heal its effects and build sustainable peace at community, national and regional levels. We do this through collaboration with and learning from the lived and diverse experiences of communities affected by violence and conflict to inform innovative interventions, generate knowledge, shape public discourse, influence policy, hold states accountable and promote gender equality, social cohesion and active citizenship.
CSVR seeks to appoint a Consultancy Coordinator to be based in Johannesburg. The position will entail 40% of the time, one-year, six months contract, renewable depending on funding. The successful candidate will work as part of CSVR’s Business Continuity Department.
Responsibilities
Identify, scope and prepare consultancy, tender and Expression of Interest documents
Provide oversight and management of CSVR consultancy teams consisting of CSVR staff and external consultants for compliance with TORs
Identify and compile list of consultants along CSVR’s thematic focus areas
Preparing consultants’ TORs and work plans
Liaise with MANCO, consultants and experts on deliverables and approach
Write proposals
Consultancies and project monitoring
Competency Profile
Masters’ Degree in the Business Development and Fundraising fields
At least 7 years’ experience in fundraising and developing consultancy proposals and EOIs at national, regional, continental and global levels
Experience in the non-governmental sector will be an added advantage
Fundraising and financial management
Project management
Coordination across the organisation
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
