The Ministry of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police hereby invites sealed bids for the:
CONSTRUCTION OF BEREA (TEYATEYANENG) SOLAR HIGH MAST LIGHTING
Funded by the Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho.

1. Eligibility
Bids are invited from registered electrical construction companies with relevant experience in similar works. This invitation is restricted to locally registered Category A Electrical Contractors registered with the Lesotho Electricity Company (LEC).
2. Bid Submission
- Bids must be confidential and submitted in sealed plain envelopes bearing no identification of the bidder.
- Envelopes should be clearly marked:
“Bid for CONSTRUCTION OF BEREA (TEYATEYANENG) SOLAR HIGH MAST LIGHTING” - Submissions must be deposited in the Bid Box at:
4th Floor, MoLGCHAP, Moposo House, Maseru
Deadline: 23rd May 2025 at 12:00 Hrs - Public Opening: Bids will be publicly opened at 14:30 Hrs on the same day, in the presence of bidders’ representatives who wish to attend.
3. Site Visit & Pre-Bid Conference
- A compulsory site visit will be held at the bidders’ own cost on:

Time: 09:00 AM
Venue: Berea Urban Council Office - A Pre-Bid Conference will follow the site visit on the same day.
4. Bidding Documents
- Cost: M 2,500.00 per set (non-refundable)
- Payment Method: Cash or bank-guaranteed cheque payable to Government of Lesotho

5. Required Bid Attachments
Bids must include the following documents:
a) Bid Security of M 25,000.00 in the form of a Bank Guarantee from a locally registered bank
b) Valid Tax Clearance Certificate
c) Trader’s Licence
d) Company Registration Certificate
The Government of Lesotho reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
