POSITION: CONSERVATION ASSISTANT

JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of Assistant Conservation Officer. Responsible for conducting Soil and Water Conservation activities in assigned areas. Perform all duties which apply to soil and water conservation in assigned areas.
MAIN DUTIES
- Provides soil and water conservation education activities in assigned area.
- Co-ordinates soil and water conservation activities in assigned area.
- Conduct and facilitate soil and water conservation extension in assigned area.
- Assists in operation and maintenance of conservation measures in assigned area.
- Supervises soil and water conservation activities in assigned area.
- Assist in planning, design, layout and establishment of conservation works in his/her assigned area.
- Prepare periodic reports and workplans.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Diploma in Agriculture from the recognized college.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Knowledge of Conservation practice
• Good Extension Skills
• Reporting Technique
