Job Summary
Presitex Enterprises (Pty) Ltd is seeking a full-time, on-site Computer Aided Design (CAD) Designer specialising in Gerber or Lectra systems to join its team in Lesotho.
The successful candidate will create, modify, and optimise digital patterns and technical drawings using CAD software to support production and product development. The role requires close collaboration with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure accurate, high-quality, and manufacturable designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and optimise digital patterns using Gerber or Lectra CAD systems.
- Translate design specifications into accurate technical and construction drawings.
- Prepare layouts and markers for production.
- Ensure patterns meet fit, quality, and manufacturing requirements.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams to resolve technical issues.
- Improve workflows and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain documentation for CAD files and pattern revisions.
- Support the implementation of CAD best practices.
- Assist with training and guidance for colleagues using Gerber or Lectra software.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills.
- Specialised experience using Gerber or Lectra systems.
- Solid technical drawing and drafting skills.
- Expertise in construction drawings and design engineering.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and quality assurance skills within a production or manufacturing environment.
- Relevant qualification in Fashion Design, Garment Technology, Engineering, or a related field will be an advantage.
- Experience in pattern making, grading, and marker making within the apparel or textile manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Lesotho.
