The Children in Distress Network (CINDI), a Pietermaritzburg based NGO seeks to appoint a dynamic individual with a passion for community work, building and maintaining partnerships in the field of HIV prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
The Community Services and Linkages Manger is a role responsible for coordination and collaboration amongst the Implementing Partners, other NGOs and Government Departments. The work entails close communications with the Programme Director; the Strategic Information Director and the Implementing Partners. The Community Services and Linkages Manager will be the lead technical expert for integration of community and clinical service delivery with a focus on improving results to towards “95-95-95”. This includes strengthening linkages and coordination between social services and the health workforce as well as strengthening bi-directional referral system to improve both health/HIV and social service delivery. The Community Services and Linkage Manager will strengthen implementation of comprehensive, HIV-inclusive case management with a focus on improving paediatric HIV case identification, strengthening HIV prevention focus, linkage to HTS , HIV care and treatment; retention among both children and their caregivers; and violence prevention and response.
Requirements:
Five to Ten years’ experience in the NGO sector;
A Bachelor’s Degree in either Health, Social Work, Community Development of Related fields;
Preferably in a managerial position, working in the HIV Treatment and Care space;
Excellent communication skills including proficiency in both written and spoken English and isiZulu.
Nature of Employment: Performance Related Fixed Contract.
