Leribe X 3 (Maputsoe Urban, Sephokong, Maoa mafubelu and Hleoheng, Maisa phoka and Ramapepe community councils.)
Thaba Tseka X 3 (Urban council, Litsoetse, Mohlanapeng, Denesolo and Linakeng Councils)
Mokhotlong X 2 (Seate and Urban council, Mphokojoane, Sanqebethu and Menoaneng community councils.)

DURATION: 6 Months

REPORTING TO: Design Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Action will support the rollout of the Governmental COVID19 vaccination campaign with a focus to reducing barriers to vaccines for people in general and for most vulnerable groups in particular. The main elements are sensitizations at village and national level, involvement of faith leaders in sensitizations, training of VHWs, transport support to hard to reach areas, direct approaching of vulnerable individuals, and influence at national level via Advocacy.

MAOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create and sustain demand for immunization services
• Engagement of influential members of the society to educate the community about the benefits of CONID 19 vaccine.
• Collaborate with existing CBO’s to identify and implement successful strategies for addressing Vaccination needs of vulnerable population.
• Improve convenience of access to immunization, record and report AEFI at local health centers in collaboration with Village health Workers.
• Support in the roll out of Training Needs Analysis surveys for VHW’s and mobilizing them for training
• Identify community concerns before disseminating communications regarding vaccinations uptake.
• Include children and youth in communication about vaccination behaviors, Early exposure to immunization information may influence vaccine confidence during adult hood.
• Support advocacy initiatives on Covid 19 vaccination and DRR
• Support DVMT’s to generate multi hazard of early warning information.
• Support development of CDPP’s and school emergency response plans.
• Facilitate formation of CVA Groups.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES

  1. Candidates must be in possession of a diploma in adult education and or health-related studies, either nursing and or counselling.
  2. Any experience in working or volunteering in community development, health centre or hospital will be an added advantage.
  3. Must have strong communication skills (fluency in English and Sesotho).
  4. The candidates must be local residents and council based in the respective districts. (Mokhotlong, Thaba Tseka and Leribe).
