Job Purpose
The Communications Officer, as the face and mouthpiece of the College, will be responsible for managing the college’s internal and external communications. The role involves enhancing the College’s public image while promoting its programs, events, and achievements through strategic and creative content.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with the college’s goals
- Manage the college’s website, social media platforms, newsletters, and press releases
- Create high-quality content (articles, blogs, press releases, videos, and graphics) for various audiences
- Collaborate with administration and academic departments to highlight programs, research, student success stories, and events
- Serve as the primary contact for media relations, including responding to inquiries and organizing interviews
- Monitor and analyze engagement metrics to improve outreach strategies
- Assist in crisis communication and reputation management
- Support marketing and recruitment teams in promoting open days, workshops, and career fairs
- Ensure all communications adhere to the college’s branding guidelines
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications, media, or digital marketing (experience in the education sector is an advantage)
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in social media management and content creation tools
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines
- Knowledge of digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights) is a plus
