Position: Communications & Marketing Manager
Location: Remote, Global – preferably in Asia, Africa, or South America
Language Requirement: Fluency in English required; additional languages are a strong advantage
Contract Term: 12 months, with possibility of extension
Compensation and Benefits: USD 26,000 – USD 28,000 per annum, with benefits in line with WFD policy, including paid leave days, sick leave days, national holidays, and a medical allowance.

We reach millions of people annually with accurate information, counseling, and referrals to support informed health decisions.

safe2choose.org – A Global Hub for Abortion Seekers
Provides accurate, stigma-free guidance on abortion pills and services, including legal, medical, and logistical information, testimonials, and digital tools. Offers hybrid counselling combining an AI-driven chatbot (Ally) with multilingual human counsellors and referrals to vetted providers when needed.
HowToUseAbortionPill.org – Training Providers
Supports nurses, pharmacists, and community providers with accurate online courses to build capacity and confidence in supporting women through abortion care.
Findmymethod.org – Expanding Contraception Access
Empowers users to explore and access modern contraception options through sex-positive information and AI-driven chatbot (Myka) support.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a versatile, strategic, and results-oriented Communications and Marketing Manager to join our Marketing & Innovations team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Digital Strategy and Innovations, you will execute high-impact, 360-degree strategies that advance our mission of ensuring equitable access to sexual and reproductive health resources.
This role goes beyond posting content; it focuses on integration, strategy, and measurable impact.
You will manage WFD’s digital footprint, support creative production for events, and serve as the bridge between programs and the public, ensuring our communication is innovative, inclusive, and responsive at global and local levels.
The Marketing & Communications Officer will lead development and execution of digital marketing and communication strategies to increase awareness, engagement, and impact across WFD brands: safe2choose, HTU, and FindMyMethod.
Key Responsibilities
Women First Digital Marketing & Content
- Develop and implement digital marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Create, edit, and schedule engaging content for social media, websites, newsletters, and campaigns, using internal or external resources.
- Ensure all messaging is accurate, inclusive, and aligned with WFD vision.
- Manage content calendars and oversee storytelling across digital channels.
- Define and implement an SEO-informed content strategy with technical teams.
- Contribute to SEO strategy (keywords, headlines, meta descriptions, internal links).
Communications & Branding
- Maintain and strengthen organizational brand voice and visual identity.
- Translate complex SRHR information into accessible, youth-friendly content.
- Support advocacy, awareness, and behavior-change campaigns.
- Collaborate with programs to communicate impact, research findings, and success stories.
Community Engagement
- Engage online communities through comments, messages, and interactive content.
- Adapt global campaigns into local languages and cultural contexts.
- Support partnerships with influencers, activists, and SRHR-aligned organizations.
- Support creative production (IEC materials, booth design) for conferences and events.
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Track and analyze digital performance (engagement, reach, conversions).
- Prepare regular reports with insights and improvement recommendations.
- Use data to refine communication strategies.
Position Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications.
Experience
- 5 to 7 years in a marketing and communications role, with at least 2 years in integrated/digital marketing within a nonprofit or social organization.
- Background in sexual and reproductive health or public health (especially abortion care) is a plus.
- Experience working with global audiences strongly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Ability to interpret analytics (GA4, Social Insights) and recommend actions.
- Understanding of SEO, link-building strategies, and how content influences search rankings and AI visibility.
- Experience in creative production management with designers.
- Proficiency with CMS (WordPress) and project management tools (Asana/ClickUp).
- Excellent writing, editing, facilitation, and presentation skills in English.
