Position: Communications Manager

Organisation: International CML Foundation (iCMLf)

Employment Type: Part Time (3 days per week)

Location: Fully Remote (Global applications welcome)


Overview

The iCMLf is a global, not-for-profit led by experts in chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML). Founded in 2009, it brings together hematologists, researchers, and patient advocates to improve treatment outcomes and accelerate progress toward a cure.

The organisation’s programmes span education, research collaboration, and knowledge sharing, with a strong commitment to equity of care across all regions.

The organisation is looking for a talented Communications Manager to join its small, dedicated team on a part-time basis.


The Role

This is a varied and rewarding position for a communications professional who wants their work to make a genuine difference.

Working closely with the Chief Executive and Communications Director, the role involves bringing the iCMLf’s programmes, research, and impact to life across digital channels, connecting global audiences to the organisation’s work for people with CML around the world.


Core Responsibilities

  • Creating written and visual content for:
    • Email newsletters
    • Social media
    • Website
    • Publications
    • Event materials
  • Producing communications that convey the real-world impact of the iCMLf’s work, including donor and supporter stewardship content
  • Maintaining and updating website content via the iCMLf’s content management system
  • Producing visual assets using Canva and ensuring consistency with iCMLf brand guidelines across all channels

About You

The ideal candidate brings at least three to five years of experience in a communications role, ideally within a nonprofit, health, research, or international organisation.

The candidate is a confident writer who can translate complex or technical subject matter into clear, engaging content for a range of audiences and is comfortable working independently across time zones as part of a small, global team.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering communications campaigns
  • Experience producing content for digital channels including email, social media, and websites
  • Proficiency with Canva and confidence working with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with website content management systems
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Additional Advantages

  • Experience in donor stewardship

  • Familiarity with:
    • SEO
    • Email marketing platforms
    • Analytics tools

Employment Details

  • Part-time position (3 days per week)
  • Depending on location, the role will be structured as either:
    • Employment, or
    • Contractor engagement
