Qualifications

Experience

Lecturer: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in teaching in reputed tertiary institutions. However, experience is not a bar for the candidates having Masters’ degree with exceptional technical and teaching skills.
Sr. Lecturer: A minimum of 5 years’ experience of teaching in a reputed tertiary institution.
Professors/Fellow: Minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral research experience and experience participating in international research evidenced by publication in scholarly journals.

Job responsibilities:

To lead the module and new programme development.
To shape and follow the Learning Teaching and Assessment Strategy for the University.
Adopt the Faculty strategy and KPI monitoring by planning to include the staff development and training needs analysis.
Conduct individual or collaborative research projects in the field/discipline including sourcing of external funds and managing it.
To be research active by publishing in a specialist subject area, publish books and articles in high impact journals, attending conferences, seminars etc. that can improve teaching and learning that can lead to further research.
Continually update knowledge and understanding in field or specialism, and engage in continuous professional development.

Drive the development of the discipline or research area, e.g. through organization of conferences, establishment of internal research groups or membership of key bodies setting the strategic direction of the area.
Develop links with external contacts such as other educational bodies, employers and professional bodies to foster collaboration.
