JOB VACANCY – ComBaCaL Community Nurse Assistant (4 positions)

SolidarMed is a leading non-profit organization working to improve the health care of 2.5 million people in Lesotho, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Working with national partners to strengthen health systems and community capacities, we are committed to scientific evidence and policy dialogue both as foundations and objectives of our work.

Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, hypertension and impaired mental health are the number one cause of death and disability globally. Like other sub-Saharan countries, Lesotho faces a situation where the health burden of NCDs adds to the challenge of scaling up and maintaining HIV, TB and COVID-19 responses.

The ComBaCaL (Community-Based Chronic Care Lesotho) is multi-disciplinary research for-development program aimed at fighting the disproportionate health and socio-economic burden posed by NCDs in Lesotho during 2021-2025. The project is coordinated by a multi-stakeholder Steering Committee led by SolidarMed, in close collaboration with the Universities of Basel and Zurich (Switzerland), the National University of Lesotho, and the Lesotho Ministry of Health. The consortium has developed an eHealth application tailored to the project’s requirements based on the Community Health Toolkit framework.
