What you can expect
The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately mixing and matching colours as requested by customer onsite, or as per sample, while ensuring that over mixes (wastage’s) are kept to a minimum. Core responsibilities will include the following:
- Responsible for stocks going in and out of mixing room, as well as the monthly stock count
- The incumbent will ensure that safety and fire procedures as well as all security measures relating to movement of stock and staff is adhered to
- Ensure that health procedures are adhered to and that the mixing room is neat and tidy
- Ensure that paperwork is completed timeously for all mixes produced
- Responsible for recording and reporting any issues that may arise
- Handling any customer queries or complaints in a professional and efficient manner
- Ensure the mixing system is clean, in good working order and turned on to agitate paint at least twice daily
- Keep the measuring scale clean and ensure that the calibration is done when necessary
What we expect
- Matric qualification is required
- Certificate in Colour Matching is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in English is required
- A valid driver’s license is essential for this role while good market knowledge of the industry would be beneficial
