Collections Officer
Location: Lesotho
Employment Type: Full-time
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Collections Officer to join our team.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and action assigned accounts within set timelines to achieve portfolio collection targets.
- Monitor and improve cure rates, contact rates, PTP rates, roll rates, and overall portfolio performance.
- Handle pre-default, FID, FTD, repeat, and late-stage arrears accounts.
- Conduct calls and field visits, verify payment details, and resolve client queries.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure full compliance with SOPs, SLAs, and regulatory requirements.
- Support reduction of provisions, legal handovers, and write-offs through effective collections management.
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant tertiary qualification (BCom, Finance Degree, or similar); certifications in Finance or Credit Management are an advantage.
- Extensive experience in a collections environment within a financial services institution in Lesotho.
- Strong understanding of processes within cost centres and government ministries.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with cost centre personnel.
- Solid knowledge of credit cycle management.
