Catalyst 2030 comprises social enterprises, NGOs, intermediaries, funders and other social change innovators, collaborating in this urgent moment to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Profile 

This role is crucial to our goal of moving more rapidly towards achieving the SDGs. We are therefore looking for an outstanding candidate with a strong emphasis on systems thinking and a demonstrated history of driving systemic changes in a global development context. The ideal candidate should excel in fostering collaboration, demonstrating strong prior experience of building effective working partnerships as well as support for networks. This role requires collaboration with the Catalyst 2030 network and working groups, and the candidate would be responsible for engaging key, diverse stakeholders to work towards common goals within a complex international structure. The candidate must be an analytical thinker, with strong management skills in a global context. The candidate in addition must demonstrate prior experience working with other multilateral organisations including the UN. 

Scope of work

Catalyst 2030 consulted with our global membership, following our incubation period, and shaped our ambitious plans based on their feedback. Our key focus areas are supporting member collaborations, growing our membership and our in-country chapters, facilitating systems learning and shifting the current funding paradigm.

Catalysing collaborations is one of our three pillars and the backbone of our movement of more than 2400 social entrepreneurs and innovators, who are united in their efforts to accelerate the SDGs. We are now moving to the next stage of our evolution. 

As a member of the Facilitation Team, the Collaborations Facilitator would be a key contributor towards supporting member collaborations, building and leveraging meaningful collaborations within our membership, as well as with external stakeholders. 

Key responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and supporting working groups, and being the point of contact for specific groups;
  • Providing support to identify member collaboration opportunities that create and accelerate systems change;
  • Fundraising for the collaborations to ensure a sustainable basis for our members to create impact with collaborations;
  • Supporting our Country and Regional Chapters by supporting activities together with our Coordinators to develop processes, events and resources to support collaborations;
  • Developing  communication and information flows between members’ collaboration projects and the Secretariat;
  • Representing Catalyst 2030 in strategic discussions with partner organisations and identifying areas of opportunity for members;
  • Developing national-level contacts and coordinating with Catalyst 2030 members to support and advise on country plans;
  • Working closely with the Countries Working Group to assist in kicking off country pilots;
  • Coordinating relationships with relevant lobby targets;
  • Conducting a stakeholder analysis and to develop a country-specific engagement (step process) and policy, influence strategy that is continuously updated as contexts evolve and change;
  • Closely monitoring and documenting policy debates, change in policies, and shifting strategies at country-level; 
  • Identifying and keeping abreast of appropriate opportunities and points of leverage where Catalyst 2030 and Catalyst 2030 members can influence, intervene or contribute to relevant policy processes.
  • Any other ad hoc tasks as requested and being willing  to be flexible when required. 

Qualifications and experience

  • An active interest in global issues and challenges, their complexity and nuances
  • 10-15 years of experience in a senior management role
  • Ability to work in a multicultural, global environment and demonstrate cultural sensitivity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven organisational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and across time zones, and a willingness to learn from experience
  • Ability to manage time effectively and to adapt to changing environments
  • Desire to work collaboratively, with a positive attitude and ability to rise to challenges
  • Fluency in English and strong communication skills required
  • Hands-on attitude, flexibility and ability to adapt to new tasks and a willingness to help out when required

  • A competitive salary in line with the guidelines outlined for the sector in the Netherlands, range of 5000 – 7000 EUR gross per month including 8% holiday pay and regional social costs, covered directly by a  pre-designated EOR firm

Job location

This position is remote and can be carried out from most regions that have 4 hours overlap with CET working hours.
