Code EC/14 Drivers
Role Purpose
To safely transport goods, ensuring timely deliveries, compliance with transport regulations, and proper vehicle care and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport and deliver goods on local and cross-border routes.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and monitor vehicle condition.
- Ensure cargo is securely loaded, transported, and delivered.
- Maintain accurate trip and delivery records.
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders and report incidents promptly.
- Comply with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Promote fuel-efficient driving and safeguard company assets.
Requirements
- Form C/High School Certificate with a valid Code EC Driver’s Licence and PrDP.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience operating heavy commercial vehicles, including at least 3 years driving Superlink trucks on long-distance and cross-border routes.
- Good knowledge of transport regulations and the ability to accurately complete transport documentation.
- Defensive Driving, Hazardous Goods, First Aid certifications, and a strong accident-free driving record are advantageous.
- Experience in logistics, FMCG, mining, construction, fuel transport, or retail distribution is beneficial.
- Strong driving skills, safety awareness, reliability, professionalism, communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
